FORT MILL - Robert Lee "Bob" Kitterman, 78, of Fort Mill, S.C., passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at CMC-Pineville, N.C., with his loving family at his side.
Bob was born and raised in Indianapolis, Ind., and was predeceased by his parents, Harry E. and Almeda H. Kitterman, and brother, Eugene Kitterman.
He served in the U.S. Air Force before graduating from Butler University in Indian-apolis. Bob worked for First Union National Bank in Greensboro and Charlotte and ended his career at First Home Federal in Greensboro. He was active in many civic organizations, both in Greensboro and Charlotte, and most recently served on the board of Habitat for Humanity in York County.
Bob loved to travel; he and his wife, Marge spent 10 years traveling the United States in an RV, assisting with Habitat for Humanity builds. He was a member of Unity Presbyterian Church, where he enjoyed singing in the choir. Bob was a great family man, the life of any party, and loved sitting on the patio with his wife by his side and his dog on his lap.
Bob is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marjorie B (Marge) Kitterman; three children, Kristin Batsel (Kurt), Kurt Kitter-man (Lisa) and Kamin Brennan (Steve); and four grandchildren; Hannah Batsel, Katy Batsel, Will Brennan and Bennett Kitterman.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, at Unity Presbyterian Church, 303 Tom Hall Street, Fort Mill, with a reception immediately following the service at the church.
